“The Odor of Burning Wakes us” is a sensory installation in development that is inspired by an article on the Plastic City in the Philippines. It is an empty black room through which visitors traverse, infused with the smell of fire and burning.
While the title is unique to this location, the smell of burning is also relevant to the crisis of war and climate change today. No one can pass through without some spark being activated in their mind.
